Our barrel stamping tool is designed to assist with keeping a straight line and equally space the numbers or letters when stamping the caliber on a replacement barrel. The pictures show the tool mounted on a barreled receiver. There are three brass screws to lock the tool to the barrel to keep the tool straight. Designed to accommodate 1/4″ square shank stamping tools with 1/8″ numbers or letters.
General Instructions for Use:
Start at the far left when stamping the first number of the caliber. Using the markings provided on the tool, move one line to the right, a distance of 1/8″, to stamp the second number. Move one additional line to the right to stamp the third number, etc. Move over two lines to the right to create a space before stamping Remington, Winchester, Weatherby, etc., if so desired.
This tool is machined from 6061T-6 aluminum and has a black anodized finish.
