Tactical Director® (Shielded) Muzzle Brake

Installation Instructions

1. IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS CONCERNING YOUR ABILITY TO REMOVE AND INSTALL A MUZZLE BRAKE, YOU SHOULD CONSULT A COMPETENT GUNSMITH BEFORE PROCEEDING. IF THE BARREL IS NOT THREADED OR THE FLASH SUPPRESSOR IS PINNED, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO CONSULT A COMPETENT GUNSMITH FOR INSTALLATION.

2. BE SURE THAT YOU HAVE UNLOADED ANY AND ALL AMMUNITION FROM THE FIREARM BY REMOVING THE MAGAZINE AND CLEARING THE CHAMBER. BE SURE TO MAKE A VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE CHAMBER TO ENSURE THE CHAMBER IS EMPTY.

3. PROPERLY SECURE THE BARREL IN A VISE TO REMOVE THE FLASH SUPPRESSOR AND ALSO TO INSTALL THE SHIELDED MUZZLE BRAKE.

4. REMOVE THE FLASH SUPPRESSOR AND THE CRUSH WASHER.

5. USE A SUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF ANTI-SEIZE OR ANY LIKE PRODUCT ON THE THREADS OF THE RIFLE BARREL PRIOR TO INSTALLING THE TACTICAL MUZZLE BRAKE.

6. INSTALL THE MUZZLE BRAKE ON THE BARREL USING THE CRUSH WASHER SUPPLIED WITH OUR MUZZLE BRAKE. THE CONVEX SIDE, WHICH HAS THE SMALLER DIAMETER, SHOULD BE INSTALLED TOWARD THE BARREL. THE CONCAVE SIDE, WHICH HAS THE LARGER DIAMETER, SHOULD BE INSTALLED TOWARD THE MUZZLE BRAKE.

7. HAND TIGHTEN THE MUZZLE BRAKE INITIALLY TO ENSURE IT IS THREADED PROPERLY ONTO THE BARREL THREADS. IF THE MUZZLE BRAKE IS NOT THREADED PROPERLY ONTO THE BARREL, THE MUZZLE BRAKE MAY NOT PERFORM AS DESIGNED. THIS MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

8. TORQUE THE MUZZLE BRAKE ONTO THE BARREL USING THE 5/8 INCH HEX MACHINED ON THE DISCHARGE END OF THE MUZZLE BRAKE. TORQUE 15 TO 20 FOOT POUNDS.

9. INSTALL THE SHIELD ONTO THE MUZZLE BRAKE AND HAND TIGHTEN. USING THE CORRECT TOOL ,TIGHTEN THE SHIELD ONTO THE MUZZLE BRAKE. USE THE SLOTS THAT ARE MACHINED INTO THE OUTER PERIMETER OF THE SHIELD LOCATED ON THE THREADED END OF THE SHIELD. WE SUPPLY THE MT-1 AND THE MT-2 TACTICAL TOOL TO INSTALL THE SHIELD.
